Acupressure

Instead of using needles, the practitioner 'holds' two acupuncture points by lightly touching the points with his/her finger tips.  The dé qì sensation is present when the practitioner feels a regular synchronized pulsation between the two points.

Moxibustion

The burning of dried mugwort above the skin, over specific acupuncture points.  Moxa provides warmth and improves circulation.  Redness of the skin may occur and remain for a few hours after treatment.
